An Information Project on Reintegration Possibilities

Information about the project

Candidates for return obviously have a lot of questions. Relatives and friends at home are usually called upon for answers. But too often their response is biased, incomplete or inaccurate. The Country of Return Information Project provides information on territorial access, personal safety, reintegration opportunities, accommodation, employment, social security, health care, education, NGO's, etc.

Any question that is related to the issue of returning home is a valid one. The examples are numerous.

What happens at the airport if the authorities find out that I have been asking for asylum elsewhere?
How much will it cost me to transport my goods to the interior of the country?
What about police protection and bribes?
Can I get my old property back or can I be compensated for its loss?
Where can I find a reliable architect to build a house?
Which formalities do I have to fulfil to start my own business?
Can my illness be treated effectively over there?
Where can I find a school for my autistic child?
Are the semesters that I completed elsewhere taken into account when I go to college back home?

The Country of Return Information Project functions as a network of NGO’s for the collection and transfer of specific information on reintegration possibilities for potential returnees and their counsellors.

This project is based on Country Fact Sheets providing detailed information on the Country of Return, and on a helpdesk service, answering any specific questions through a network of local partners.
